Job Description

As a Senior Engineer I, the individual is expected to lead technical projects and provide mentorship to project teams on technology-related matters. They should possess deep experience and knowledge in their area of expertise, with approximately 12 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects in the technology area and comply with BlueAlly quality of delivering projects
  • Take responsibility and ownership of the project
  • Maybe part of a bigger team and leading specific areas within the project
  • Help deliver projects within budget and with quality expected of BlueAlly
  • Able to present solutions in front of customers with confidence
  • Escalation of project impacting issues to the Delivery Directors or other appropriate leadership

Position Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in relevant technology area
  • Subject Matter Expert operating independently on med-high visibility engagements, often related to design
  • Technical/Delivery Lead on engagements of up to 3 people
  • Independently able to lead sales support on all but the largest opportunities
  • Able to cover Project Management if/as necessary
  • Generally independent with oversight via architecture/approach consultation, standard peer reviews, and RM reviews
  • Deep in at least 1 technical area, with breadth across 3+ areas
  • Able to understand and translate specific, tangible client business requirements into a proposed technical solution.
  • Generally, experience and understanding of requirements specific to at least one industry
  • Able, with limited consultation, to determine if a technical solution will meet specific client business requirements
  • Can support translating technical value into business benefits in determining ROI
  • Able to create technical written documents (e.g., SOWs, RFP responses, deliverables) independently and accurately, free from grammatical mistakes
  • Able, with support via a review process, to independently create and deliver presentations to at least technical-to-mid level client stakeholders. Confident speaking to client groups of up to 10 people
  • Able, with limited support, to extract and review project and financial information from our financial system and compare/align to forecast(s).
  • Consistently maintains one's own forecast on respective efforts and reviews/directs team members to do so on engagements when serving as the delivery lead and/or project manager.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Advanced certifications preferred (e.g., Expert-level or multiple Professional-level certifications)

Role Location

  • Remote position based within the DMV area
  • Must be available to work standard business hours aligned with the region
  • Occasional on-site presence may be required for client meetings or specific project needs
  • Ability to travel within the region as necessary
