Overview

Responsibilities
As a Senior Marine Engineer you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects.
  • Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC & Refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct HVAC&R trade studies, reviews and provide comments on new US Coast Guard acquisition cutter and boat HVAC&R system designs.
  • Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages.
  • Provide engineering support in the analysis of all HVAC&R related technical issues and design challenges.
  • Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements.
  • Conduct ship visits.
  • Develop Engineering Changes of HVAC&R systems.
  • Conduct mechanical engineering & psychrometric analysis.
  • Research advanced engineering designs and/or applications.
  • Prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • At least 5+ years of experience in design, development, installation and operation of shipboard HVAC and/or Refrigeration systems and related equipment.
