Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and special requests, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
  • Utilize POS systems for managing waitlists and reservations as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance guest experiences and address any issues promptly.

Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of POS systems, is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
