We are seeking a highly accomplished and versatile professional to establish and lead the Technical Marketing function within our Consumer Products division. This role is the critical link between our R&D/Engineering teams and our market-facing communication efforts for both Consumer Networking and Consumer Electronics products. The ideal candidate will be an expert in understanding complex technical features, translating them into compelling consumer benefits, and acting as a credible spokesperson and technology evangelist across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Technology & Market Analysis: Consult with Engineering and Product Management to identify current and future key technologies offering significant consumer value. Proactively monitor market dynamics and competitive offerings, and communicate these insights internally.
• Content Strategy & Creation: Generate high-impact marketing content for core technologies and software applications, including whitepapers, articles, web copy, presentations, and press releases.
• External Evangelism: Serve as a primary spokesperson for key technologies at industry events, conferences, trade shows, webinars, and in media engagements.
• Demonstration Development: Create compelling, consumer-focused product demos that effectively showcase the capabilities and benefits of key technologies and software applications.
• Internal Enablement: Develop and conduct training sessions for colleagues in Marketing, Sales, and Service & Support to ensure consistent and accurate communication of technical features.
• Campaign & Asset Management: Partner with the MarComm team to develop integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns and assets that meet the needs of customers and channel partners.
• Brand and Design Partnership: Collaborate with the Design team to ensure all technical materials are visually appealing and maintain consistent adherence to brand identity standards.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, channel partners, and industry influencers.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of progressive experience in Technical Marketing, Applications Engineering, or a similar role involving extensive communication of technical features for hardware and software products.
• A four-year degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a technical field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Deep working knowledge of multiple key consumer technologies, ideally including wireless protocols (Wi-Fi), networking (Ethernet), sensing/imaging (HD cameras, biometrics, sensors), and modern software applications (e.g., Generative AI, smartphone apps).
• Demonstrated ability to translate and communicate technical concepts to both highly technical and non-technical audiences, including proven experience acting as a professional spokesperson.
