HVAC-Certified Service Technician

Location: Richmond, VA (with travel throughout the Richmond/Tri-Cities area)

Compensation: Starting at $27.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, plus rotating on-call (every 4–6 weeks)

This is an "evergreen" position to build an applicant pool of skilled and HVAC-certified Service Technician to join our Richmond team. This role will include HVAC service as well as general residential maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities:*

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems).
  • Perform HVAC installations and routine maintenance.
  • Respond to service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, explaining repairs and offering maintenance tips.
  • Support the general maintenance team with tasks including appliance repair, basic plumbing, light electrical, and carpentry.
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders on time.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and standards.

Qualifications:*

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience (residential).
  • EPA certification required; boiler experience is a plus.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with clear communication skills.
  • Must provide your own tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided).
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
