Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) Administrator with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining AD DS in a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong multitasking abilities, capable of working independently while supporting a dynamic and fast-paced IT infrastructure. This role also encompasses architectural and engineering responsibilities, including the design, deployment, and optimization of AD DS environments to meet enterprise scalability, security, and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Architect, design, and implement Microsoft AD DS infrastructure including forests, domains, trusts, and group policies.

· Lead engineering initiatives to establish robust and secure AD DS environments aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.

· Administer and maintain existing AD DS infrastructure, including replication, authentication, and DNS.

· Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security and configuration standards.

· Perform regular audits and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

· Collaborate with other IT teams to support identity and access management initiatives.

· Maintain and update documentation for AD DS architecture, processes, and procedures.

· Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and patching of AD DS components.

· Provide Tier 3 support for AD-related incidents and service requests.

· Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for directory services.

· Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years of experience administering Microsoft AD DS in an enterprise environment.

· Demonstrated expertise in architecting and engineering AD DS solutions, including initial design and deployment.

· Strong understanding of AD DS architecture, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

· Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.

· Familiarity with identity management solutions such as Azure AD, ADFS, and LDAP.

· Solid understanding of security principles related to directory services.

· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Azure Administrator Associate.

· Experience with hybrid identity environments (on-prem AD + Azure AD).

· Knowledge of enterprise-level backup and recovery solutions for AD DS.

· Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools.

Work Environment

On-site depending on organizational needs.

May require occasional after-hours support and participation in on-call rotation.
