Dealership Billing Contract Clerk

In this position you would be responsible for, including but not limited to, assisting the Dealership Controller in tabulating and posting data to records books, and compiling records and reports. You would report directly to the Dealership Controller.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience within a dealership environment
• Previous working experience within an automotive industry, preferred
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must have good work ethics including maintaining a neat work area.
• Excellent follow-through skills.
• Proficient working with dealership accounting software (Tekion, CDK or Reynolds and with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Bilingual, (Preferred but not necessary)
• Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license.

Essential Duties, but not limited to:

• Post Used vehicle deals using the dealership's accounting system
• Perform payoffs for trade in customers
• Process warranty cancellation and refunds
• Maintain and update accounting schedules regularly
• Cross train on several clerical position within the office
• Maintain and document customer accounts to reflect updated information.
• Make outbound and receive inbound calls to gather or clarify information with service providers.
• Accurately document all information pertaining to accounts.
• Prepare and/or process documents; review for accuracy and completeness; update information and/or evaluate against policy; compare elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc.
• Deal with internal and external customers and clients in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
• Successfully manage the filed visit process by being an intermediary between our clients and service providers.
• Answer customer inquiries or concerns in person, e-mail, fax or telephone in a professional, customer-focused manner.
• Keeps vehicle records in computer systems up to date regarding the status of the post repossession process.
• Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all tools and resources that are available to associates.
• Manage different aspects of the post repossession process i.e. transportation, recovery agent invoicing.
• Process DMV paperwork for new, used and wholesale vehicles for the dealership.
• Ensure retail transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Prepare purchase and trade-in documentation.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Salary Range: $ $22.00 per hour
