Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Life Enrichment Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional care and services to patients with terminal illnesses.

The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home and community care settings, with a strong focus on enhancing quality of life through personalized support. This role involves assisting with daily activities, coordinating schedules, and engaging clients in recreational and social activities to promote well-being.

The Life Enrichment Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for those we serve.

Duties

  • Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
  • Help coordinate and manage schedules for activities with facility partners
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote social engagement
  • Assist with recreational therapy activities designed to enhance mental and physical health
  • May assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper care plans are followed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with team members
  • Assist in organizing events or outings that foster social interaction and community involvement

Skills

  • Experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior care is highly desirable
  • Background in assisted living, nursing home environments, or long-term care settings
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, and disability support techniques
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members
  • Ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while maintaining dignity and respect for clients
  • Excellent schedule management skills to coordinate appointments and daily routines
  • Compassionate approach to caregiving with patience and understanding of aging issues
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working with people with disabilities or in home & community care environments is preferred

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour
