Get to Know the Opportunity
Voya Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated self-starter Analyst within the Investment Data & Analytics Team. The individual will report to the VP, Investment Analytics, Fixed Income. Success in this role requires a strong analytical mindset and a high attention to detail. This role will be responsible for overseeing daily analytics reports to ensure accuracy. This role also plays a crucial role as part of a team supporting data and analytics as part of the investment process.
The Contributions You Will Make
- Analytics Data Oversight: Accountable for oversight of investment analytics data for both public and private fixed income instruments. Ensure analytics related deliverables are completed timely and accurately. Ensure root cause analysis approach is performed on data quality issues affecting investment data to ensure end-to-end resolution; coordinate resolution with other groups as required.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Consult with various groups, including Risk, Investment Teams, Compliance, etc. on daily production and key initiatives.
- Model Evaluation: Partake in conversations to evaluate and understand investment data models.
- Impact Analysis: Produce key impacts to investment analytics for portfolio and respective indices.
- Key Projects: Partake in conversations related to team projects and initiatives.
- Investment Strategy Knowledge: Work with the senior members of the team to become fluent in the various investment strategies and respective nuances. Maintain documentation accordingly.
- Data Requests: Ensure prompt responses to investment data requests from key customers, including traders, portfolio managers, sales, and client service personnel.
- Reporting: Responsible for producing recurring and ad hoc fixed income analytics reports to internal and external stakeholders, applying knowledge of fixed income to assess accuracy.
- Vendor Engagement: Liaise with key vendors to establish recurring touchpoints to raise outstanding items and key topics. Drive the coordination of enhancements within the investment platform with the vendor.
- Investment Data Concepts: Partake in conversations to develop knowledge of investment data concepts including aspects of Discounted Cash Flows (DCF), Duration, Yield, and overall ability to tie the structure of the asset to the analytics that are produced within an analytics model.
- Benchmark Rebalance Processes: Work alongside the investment teams to perform analysis on benchmark rebalances to ensure the data is comprehensive and accurate.
- Focus on Continuous Improvement: Bring a fresh perspective on existing issues, processes, and controls to develop and recommend new and improved controls and procedural enhancements.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to problem solve, execute process improvements resulting in robust processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or ability to learn investment products.
- Ability to collaborate across teams to devise comprehensive solutions.
- Ability to multi-task, set direction and thrive in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic that is eager to develop and learn.
- An analytical mindset, strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills required, SQL skills, a plus.
- Interest or progress toward CFA, a plus.
Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$65,000 to $80,000 USD
