Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pallet Jack Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution and materials handling, with a focus on efficiency and safety. As a Pallet Jack Operator, you will be responsible for operating pallet jacks and other heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of goods within the warehouse environment.

Duties

  • Operate pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
  • Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage warehouse management systems effectively.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
  • Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are utilized to prevent injury.

Experience

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations or distribution is preferred.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of materials handling practices and procedures is essential.
  • Experience with order picking processes and shipping & receiving functions is beneficial.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is a plus.
