Role Description

The Interim Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing month-end close processes, and collaborating with various departments to ensure financial accuracy. The Interim Controller will also review financial data, identify opportunities for process improvement, and support strategic financial decision-making for the organization.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring accounting teams
  • Advanced skills in accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other enterprise-level systems
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and sharp attention to detail
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • A CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a corporate setting
