Salary:
$85,280 – $99,840 annually
Sign-On Bonus:
$5,000 (2-year commitment)
Job Summary:
Join our healthcare team as an MDS Manager. You'll oversee the MDS process for residents, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and optimizing reimbursement. You'll also educate staff, conduct audits, and coordinate care planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage MDS assessments per Medicare, Medicaid, and OBRA guidelines.
- Educate staff on MDS/RUGS processes.
- Audit resident records to support quality care and reimbursement.
- Liaise with residents, families, providers, and insurers.
- Identify residents at risk for higher care needs.
- Ensure accurate documentation and interdisciplinary communication.
- Lead resident care conferences.
- Participate in state and federal inspections or audits.
Requirements:
- Experience:
LTC/Geriatric care experience required.
- Knowledge:
Familiar with nursing practices, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, PPS, and documentation standards.
- Skills:
Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.
Certifications:
- Current
NYS RN license
required.
- RNAC certification
preferred.
- Experience in quality assurance and appeals process a plus.
