Coatings Technician

JC Machine, Inc. (JCMI) is a manufacturing facility located in Lakeland, Florida. Originally founded in 1967 as Creasy Company, we primarily manufactured small precision components for the phosphate and chemical industries. Today, as a third-generation family-owned corporation, JC Machine has grown to support the aerospace, defense, firearm, oil and gas, medical, robotic, electronic, food packaging, bottling, chemical and phosphate industries. Job Duties:

• Assist Lead Paint technician with all required tasks.
• Prepares and masks different aircraft components.
• On the job training to spray-paints with various coatings, as specified. In preparation for paint application, will prepare surface by sanding / masking.
• Cleanliness of work area.

Requirements:

• Interest in obtaining knowledge and ability to operate spray-painting equipment and use acceptable techniques in paint booths, or in other designated painting areas to layout, mask and apply finishes. Ability to obtain paint mixing, masking and surface preparation information from applicable documents and use decimals, fractions, and proportions.
• Interest in obtaining ability to apply coatings in conformance with specified tolerances.
• Interest in obtaining knowledge of painting using engineering drawings.
• Interest in obtaining knowledge to coordinate stripping and painting operations simultaneously.

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma / GED
• Willing to work overtime / weekends when necessary.
