Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong foundation in physiotherapy principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to diverse patient populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and those recovering from acute care or surgeries. The Physical Therapist will play a vital role in discharge planning and ensuring optimal recovery outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient conditions through detailed evaluations of physical function, mobility, and pain levels
  • Develop personalized care plans based on patient needs, medical history, and therapy goals
  • Implement physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies to improve mobility and reduce pain
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and recovery strategies for home & community care
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Document patient interactions accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR systems)
  • Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and patients in acute or inpatient settings
  • Assist in managing care plans for patients in outpatient clinics or home health environments
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current physiotherapy practices and medical terminology

Experience

  • Proven experience in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and community-based physiotherapy services
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to physiotherapy interventions
  • Experience with discharge planning processes and developing comprehensive care plans for diverse patient needs
  • Knowledge of trigger point therapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies for musculoskeletal conditions
  • Prior work in hospital or clinic settings providing patient-centered care with a focus on recovery outcomes
