Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic techniques and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including orthopedics, geriatrics, and the neurological population. The Physical Therapist will develop and implement effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring optimal recovery and rehabilitation.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations.
  • Develop individualized care plans that address specific patient needs and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions, including physiotherapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
  • Document patient progress using EMR systems while maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions from clinic settings to home or community care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in physiotherapy practices and medical terminology relevant to patient treatment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to physical rehabilitation.
  • Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems is essential.
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
