Commercial Transactions Paralegal

Our client, a retail chain of home improvement and agriculture stores, is seeking a Commercial Transactions Paralegal for a 2+ month contract position in Brentwood, TN. This role is hybrid with at least 3 days onsite per week. The role will last at least through year-end with potential to extend for strong performers.
Day to Day:
This position is responsible for providing paralegal support to the Commercial Transactions team within the Legal Department. The role will focus on reviewing, drafting, and organizing contracts and related documentation to support business operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while supporting attorneys with transactional matters.
- Review, draft, and edit a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., vendor, service, supply, licensing, confidentiality agreements).
- Assist attorneys in managing the contract lifecycle, including intake, review, redlines, negotiation support, and final execution.
- Organize and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and related resources for the Legal Department.
- Track key contract terms, obligations, and deadlines to ensure compliance and timely follow-up.
- Conduct legal and business research on commercial and regulatory topics relevant to contracts.
- Coordinate with internal business partners and stakeholders to gather information and assist with due diligence.
- Support special projects and initiatives for the Commercial Transactions team as needed.
- Prepare correspondence, summaries, and reports for attorneys and business partners.
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate logistics for contract negotiations or project updates.
- Monitor shared inboxes and triage incoming requests to the appropriate team members.
- Develop and update department forms, checklists, and reference materials to improve efficiency.
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, with prior focus on commercial transactions or contracts preferred.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management tools.
- Strong drafting and document organization skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through and time management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, collaboration, and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
Pluses:
- Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.
Pay Rate- $41.38- $42.86/hour
