Michigan Elite Snow & Ice Management is seeking reliable, local Snow Removal Technicians to join our winter operations team. This is an on-call position that requires availability any time it snows, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Our team is responsible for keeping commercial and residential properties safe, accessible, and clear of snow and ice throughout the winter season.

Technicians are compensated competitively for their time and dedication — including overtime pay or double time on holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly when called for snow events — must be able to report within 30–45 minutes of dispatch.
  • Operate snow removal equipment such as:
  • Plow trucks
  • Salters / spreaders
  • Sidewalk machines
  • Snow blowers and hand tools (shovels, ice scrapers, etc.)
  • Clear snow from parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and driveways safely and efficiently.
  • Apply bulk salt or ice melt according to company standards.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on assigned equipment.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and field supervisors throughout events.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and refueling when needed.

Requirements

  • Must live locally in or near Waterford, MI and be able to report during any snow event.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Willingness to work long or irregular hours depending on storm conditions.
  • Strong reliability and communication — must answer dispatch calls/texts promptly.
  • Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in cold, snowy conditions.
  • Prior snow removal experience preferred (training available for motivated candidates).
  • Must be able to pass a basic background and driving record check.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Competitive hourly pay (based on experience and equipment operated).
  • Overtime for extended events.
  • Double time for holidays.
  • On-call schedule throughout the winter season (typically November–April).
  • Potential for year-round work with our window cleaning and exterior services team after snow season.
