We provide sales, leasing, service, parts, and riggings for cranes, concrete pumps, and other heavy equipment throughout Arizona, California, Guam, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. Not only has the Mardian family been in this business for three generations, but the personnel here have more combined experience than ANY other crane or concrete pump company in the Southwest Our Corporate Office is located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona.
Mardian Equipment is looking for a full-time Mechanic for our Phoenix branch. This position is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing semi-trucks, trailers, cranes, pumps, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of Company vehicles to include electrical, welding, electronics, air brakes, LMI, hydraulic, and fabrication.
- Perform Daily DOT inspections if qualified.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Responsible for documenting all field service tickets, including warranty documentation
- Responsible for maintaining the order, cleanliness, and organization of the work area and
- truck.
- Responsible for the daily and/or weekly vehicle inspections and following up on all
- needed repairs.
- Prepare a written job action report that details work completed and all work in progress and
- provides to the Service Manager.
- Verify permits and certifications for the service trucks are current.
- Understand the standard hand signals for controlling crane operations.
- Responsible for providing status updates to the supervisor on work orders.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures.
- Provide the highest level of customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Play an active role in the development of the safety culture, making safety a natural part of all work performed.

- Perform assigned duties in a safe manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma (or GED) plus any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of this position.
- 2 Years of Mechanical Relevant Experience.
- Must have a mechanical background.
- Must have knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in repair and maintenance.
- Read schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Understand the standard hand signals for controlling crane operations.
- Ability to manage his/her own workload.
- Know how to use all appropriate tools for your job.
- Must possess strong communication skills.
- High level of accountability, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of and with a team.
- Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Willingness to take a drug and alcohol test as well as a background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Forklift certification through the company program.
- CPR/First Aid certification through an accredited program.
*KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Knowledge of industry, must be able to use consistent exercise of discretion and judgement;
- Proper use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling; basic mathematics; legal and proper telephone etiquette and techniques; standard office software applications; standard office equipment;
- Application of data processing in the maintenance of records and reports;
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access) tools is essential;
- Knowledge of how to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
*SKILL AND ABILITY TO:
- Work intellectually in character in order to exercise independent decision making;
- Accurately type a minimum of 40 words per minute;
- Accurately and timely keep up with "to-dos";
- Perform research and report results;
- Read and apply rules, regulations, and proofread material, and make necessary corrections;
- Work cooperatively and effectively with Management, staff, and the public;
- Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
