Job Summary

Our positions start at 30-45$an hour, Shop and Road service positions are available, We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience with various diesel engines and equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other mechanics and technicians to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, cranes, and heavy machinery.
  • Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functioning of diesel engines.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as shocks, struts, and HVAC systems as needed.
  • Fabricate parts when necessary to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar engines and dealership service practices is preferred.
  • Experience with welding techniques is a plus for fabricating parts as needed.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment specific to diesel mechanics.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
