Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Territory Sales Professional to represent our premium building materials brand in Upstate New York, with a primary focus on the Syracuse and Rochester areas. This is a field-based role for someone who thrives on building relationships, delivering product value, and creating long-term partnerships within the Architecture & Design (A&D) community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize sales and ensure market penetration within an assigned territory

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and facility end-users

  • Drive product specification and sales within the commercial construction sector, especially in healthcare-related projects

  • Conduct in-person product presentations and lunch & learns with A&D firms

  • Identify and develop new opportunities, customers, and strategic relationships

  • Represent the company as a trusted product expert and resource in the industry

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of company offerings and market trends

  • Travel regularly across Upstate New York and Eastern Pennsylvania

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Based in or near Rochester or Syracuse, NY

  • 3–5+ years of outside sales experience in building materials, commercial construction, or related industry

  • Proven experience calling on architects, designers, and contractors

  • Familiarity with commercial specification processes

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills

  • Self-motivated, relationship-focused, and highly organized

  • Comfortable with regional travel as part of daily responsibilities
