ABOUT US: Originally built for the 1962 World's Fair, The Edgewater Hotel has marked its place in history as the host to many famous names in the music scene from The Beatles to Blondie. Embraced by Elliott Bay, The Edgewater stands watch over the Olympic Mountains and Seattle skyline. Practically floating on water, the hotel boasts an authentic Pacific Northwest experience including aluminum exteriors, natural wood interiors and river-rock fireplaces. This classic landmark is defined through its culture and distinctive atmosphere.
The position:
We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring that our guests have a clean and comfortable stay. As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our housekeeping team is meeting our high standards of cleanliness and providing exceptional service to our guests.
A day in the life...
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Provide feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff to ensure that they are meeting our standards
- Ensure that all housekeeping equipment is in good working order and report any issues to the appropriate department
- Maintain accurate records of room inspections and report any issues to the appropriate department
- Assist with training new housekeeping staff as needed
- Respond to guest complaints and ensure that any issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify areas that require improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using property management systems and other technology
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
