General Summary:

A non-exempt position responsible for performing daily accounting functions as well as providing administrative support to Administration.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Processes and allocates accounts payable invoices; processes and distributes accounts payable checks and payments, process patient refund checks, and voided checks.
  2. Maintains daily bank balance sheets;
    reconciles
    daily patient time of service payments.
  3. Assist
    in reconciling month-end and year-end close.
  4. Generate revenue and financial reports.
  5. Maintains filing of all AP invoices and financial documents into accounting system.
  6. Assist as needed on financial tasks and special projects directed by CFO/CEO.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree
(preferred)

Experience:
T
wo years of administrative / accounting experience, preferably in a
healthcare
organization.

QuickBooks experience a must.

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

  1. Knowledge of accounting system and the generally accepted accounting principles.
  2. Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems programs and applications.
  3. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
  4. Knowledge of purchasing, budgeting, and inventory control.

Skills:

  1. Accurate data entry skills.
  2. Good verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers.
  3. Good organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  4. Self-motivated and willing to work in team environment.

Abilities:

  1. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
  2. Ability to establish / maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels.
  3. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information in a professional manner.
  4. Ability to plan, establish priorities and coordinate multiple administrative projects.
  5. Ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, organize and analyze information.

Work Environment:

Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening work.

Mental/Physical Requirements:

Involves sitting approximately 80 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder. Occasional lifting or moving up to 20lbs. Occasional reaching, pushing or pulling. Periodic local travel.
