Overview

In-office Lead Interior Design Draftsperson / Project Manager for multiple residential projects, providing support to Principal Designers & Managing Director. Point person for all incoming drafting. Assist with all aspects of creating client design presentations including site visits, client meetings, drafting, plotting, project management.

Our small residential interior design firm is looking for a nimble, multitasker who has experience with high end residential clients, design drafting standards and construction administration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in project management with the ability to work on projects from concept through to completion. This role requires a strong interpersonal skills, a blend of creativity, technical expertise, enjoyment in multi tasking and client interfacing. Minimum 5+ years experience.

Duties

  • Develop and present architectural designs that meet client requirements while adhering to code regulations, design, construction standards for interior renovation projects and ground up construction.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with principal designers, clients, contractors, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize autoCAD, autocad Lt software for 2D drafting and designing
  • Conduct site assessments and surveys to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare floor plans, furnishing plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.
  • Prepare lighting, electrical plans, RCP's & Plumbing plans
  • Prepare project budgets and manage resources effectively to stay within financial constraints.
  • Specify plumbing, electrical, hardware, paint, surface and other architectural details and prepare corresponding schedules.
  • Oversee interior design elements as part of the overall architectural vision.
  • Keep Lead Designers and Managing Director appraised of all upcoming tasks and client meetings. Set calendar accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field
  • Proven experience in architectural/ interior design and project management.
  • Proficiency in AutocCAD & AutoCAD Lt Software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite including: Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate all members of the team.
  • A keen eye for detail combined with a strong sense of aesthetics in design.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi task and divert to different projects as fast past deadlines arise.
  • Business development experience is a plus.
  • Sketchup, Revit, Enscape knowledge a plus.
