Job Overview

Job Title: Electronics/Repair Technician

Location: Duluth, GA

Job Responsibilities

The Electronics/Repair Technician is responsible for:

  • Demonstrates progressively increasing responsibility in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications equipment, electronics equipment
  • Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems
  • Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment
  • Troubleshooting RF networks
  • Use of Spectrum Analyzer
  • Full spectrum testing of HPA's and LNB's
  • Plotting and capturing test data
  • Use of Power Meter, for bench testing output of HPA's
  • Use of TDMA and FDMA modems
  • Creating diagrams for signal flow, wiring and cabling
  • Building signal and RF cables
  • Soldering, cables and circuit boards
  • Component level troubleshooting and repair of electronic/communications items
  • Experience in writing technical manuals and work instructions
  • May be required to travel up to 10% CONUS locations
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance  
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required. 
  • Shall have a minimum three (3) years experience with repairs or refurbishment of SATCOM or SATCOM related equipment.
Desired Qualification

5+ years experience and advance knowledge in the following areas:

  • Troubleshooting RF networks
  • Use of Spectrum Analyzer
  • Full spectrum testing of HPA's and LNB's
  • Plotting and capturing test data
  • Use of Power Meter, for bench testing output of HPA's
  • Use of TDMA and FDMA modems
  • Creating diagrams for signal flow, wiring and cabling
  • Building signal and RF cables
  • Soldering, cables and circuit boards
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
