ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN to join our BIOMED EQUIPMENT SERVICES team
Salary Range: $ $40.12 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: Primarily M- F, weekends as needed, DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
FTE: FULL TIME, FTE
JOB SUMMARY
Performs safe and proper installation, maintenance, safety testing and repair of clinical and non-clinical equipment. Works with Biomedical Specialist on sophisticated, highly technical critical and/or complex equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Graduate of a Biomedical Electronic Technician program, military Biomedical Technician program or an Electronic Tech program.

- Experience: Six (6) months or more performing similar work in a hospital setting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic electronics; anatomy and medical terminology; troubleshooting; reading schematic drawings and blueprints; test equipment operation; ability to use a personal computer; knowledge of appropriate codes and regulations; hand tool operation; good interpersonal skills.
- READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
- SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
