Goldfinch & Partners is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Support Counsel—Motions & Appeals—for a prominent Texas personal injury firm. This is a remote, Texas-based opportunity for a legal professional with a true passion for high-impact writing, advocacy, and strategic litigation support.

About the Role

This position is central to the firm's most intricate motion practice and appellate matters. You will drive strategy by drafting and arguing complex dispositive and trial motions in state and federal courts, managing appellate briefs, and partnering directly with trial attorneys. Your work will lay the groundwork for trial success while preserving and protecting appellate issues with precision and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, research, and argue substantive motions: summary judgment, expert challenges, discovery, trial-related issues, and post-trial motions.

  • Prepare responses to opposing motions and support trial teams with jury charge and preservation-of-error issues.

  • Develop and execute appellate strategies, including briefing and oral arguments in Texas courts.

  • Perform advanced research and provide tactical litigation guidance on tort, evidentiary, and procedural matters.

  • Mentor junior attorneys on writing, research, and best practices in motion work.

  • Collaborate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a strong focus on legal excellence.

About You

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in Texas with federal admissions a plus.

  • Minimum 12 years' litigation and appellate experience, ideally in personal injury, tort, or complex civil litigation.

  • A record of success in motion practice and briefing at both trial and appellate levels.

  • Outstanding legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with expert command of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.

  • Exceptional judgment, strategic mindset, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.

  • A passion for collaborating within high-performing teams to deliver successful trial and appellate outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of $170,000 to $220,000, plus bonuses aligned to litigation and appellate performance.
