Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. Candidates with experience in fine dining, catering, or restaurant settings are highly preferred. The position involves preparing meals according to menu specifications, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring excellent food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision and consistency, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing as needed
  • Maintain proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Support food plating and presentation to uphold the establishment's standards
  • Follow sanitation protocols to keep the kitchen clean and organized
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
  • Assist with catering events or special functions as required
  • Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages

Requirements

  • Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred
  • Strong culinary skills including knife skills, meal preparation, and food handling expertise
  • Experience with menu planning, food safety standards, and fine dining service is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food industry best practices related to cooking, serving, and sanitation
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
  • Prior restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
