We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk/Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of dental terminology, and experience in managing patient records and appointments. This position requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations efficiently.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care plans.
- Verify insurance coverage and handle medical billing processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with dental coding, including CDT coding.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism using multi-line phone systems.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery.
- Utilize EMR systems like Open Dental for patient management.
Skills
- Proficient in dental terminology.
- Strong understanding of medical collections and insurance verification processes.
- Experience with EHR systems and health information management.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus for enhanced patient communication.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong typing skills including 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
