Summary
The Engineering Technician will support the Engineering Dept. by colleting and analyzing data, troubleshooting problems, and creating technical reports.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Study engineering blueprints, drawings, models and other specifications to determine customer requirements.
Assist engineers in designing, developing, and modifying prototypes and systems, often using CAD software.
Prepare reports, create technical drawings using 3D modeling and maintain project files.
Review technical and non-technical documents that relate to contracts, specifications, purchasing, product design, manufacture and test and incorporate the requirements into the manufacturing plans.
Assist with operations to be performed on manufacturing plan, indicate machine or equipment to be used, estimate time to set-up and perform each operation.
Posts changes to computerized or manual control records, release documents and notifies affected departments.
Support the Quality Management System to assure compliance to quality, industrial and government standards and regulations.
Assists with manufacturing plans and supporting documentation to authorized departments.
Support manufacturing operations and subcontractors by clarifying requirements and improving manufacturing processes and procedures.
Compile and maintain control of records relating to customer drawing specifications, part lists, and customer supplied product/process supporting documentation.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Observe the safety rules and regulations and wear the required safety equipment.
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training/ or combination of education and experience.
- Experience with an ISO/AS 9100 quality system preferred
- Experience with GD&T, Measurement Systems and 3D modeling required
- MRP and SPC experience preferred
- Aerospace experience a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks and Telesis Software a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60, $75,000.00 per year
