Responsibilities

  • Assist with inventory control by accurately stocking, picking, packing, and organizing products.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely following OSHA guidelines.
  • Load and unload shipments efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials with heavy lifting techniques and mechanical knowledge.
  • Support order picking and order fulfillment processes using various tools.
  • Manage shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, preparing packages for shipment, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety standards, including OSHA regulations, and performing routine safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall warehouse management.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques and warehouse distribution procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of materials handling equipment used in manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, stocking, and load & unload operations.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse safety.
