General Summary:
As a key financial leader, the Senior Accounting Manager drives the integrity and accuracy of the organization's financial operations. This role oversees the accounting team, ensuring timely and precise financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and guiding strategic budgeting and forecasting initiatives. With a focus on operational excellence and compliance, the Senior Accounting Manager plays a critical part in shaping financial strategy and supporting business growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the Accounting team through effective hiring, training, performance management, and professional development, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Oversee month-end close processes by reviewing and approving journal entries, preparing supporting schedules, managing intercompany eliminations, and collaborating with department leaders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Drive financial strategy by developing and implementing goals, policies, and procedures that strengthen financial management, budgeting, and accounting practices.
- Ensure accurate reporting by supervising and contributing to the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain integrity of financial data through oversight of general and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring precise recording of revenue, costs, and operating expenses.
- Provide actionable insights by directing cost analyses and rate studies to support operational decisions and long-term planning.
- Forecast future performance by preparing statements and reports on projected costs and revenues.
- Support corporate reporting by assisting with financial submissions to parent companies and coordinating external audit materials and compliance reporting.
- Partner with leadership to review financial statements and provide strategic recommendations.
- Manage lease accounting by overseeing monthly entries and maintaining the lease subledger.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role preferred.
- Strong background in financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close.
- Experience with lease accounting is a plus.
- Experience with external audit coordination and reporting to parent companies preferred.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Products such as Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.), Teams, Word, Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay wage: $100,000.00-$125,000.00/Annually
- 11 paid Holidays
