Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Shop Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the shop operates smoothly. You will assist with inventory management, engage with customers, and promote products effectively.

Requirements

  • Prior retail or sales experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation
  • Availability throughout the week and weekends
  • Must be willing to possibly complete a background check

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed.
  • Occasionally working the Cape Coral Farmer's market on behalf of our store.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor, including restocking shelves and managing inventory levels.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
  • Engage in product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer interest.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and improve overall sales performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive work environment.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the shop.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers accurately.
  • Experience with retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with stock management processes, including inventory control and organization.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.
  • Knowledge of retail math concepts can be beneficial for analyzing sales data.
  • Ability to conduct engaging product demos that capture customer interest and drive sales.
