Supply Chain Manager - Electric Category
position at a leading energy sector company. This opportunity involves driving category strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and delivering measurable value across procurement operations. You will guide sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities for electric operations, influencing key business decisions and supporting long-term capital investments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies for electric distribution and underground business units, aligning with enterprise sourcing objectives.
  • Oversee sourcing processes from market analysis and RFP/RFQ development to contract negotiation, supplier selection, and performance management.
  • Expand and manage a diversified supplier base, ensuring supply chain resilience for critical materials.
  • Drive cost savings, procurement value delivery, and supplier performance in alignment with capital plans and budgets.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Strategic Sourcing Specialists, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, finance, and legal teams to align sourcing initiatives with project priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and ethical standards while mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Implement process improvements leveraging data analytics, automation, and ERP tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • 5+ years in energy, utilities, or heavy industrial operations preferred.
  • Experience managing procurement portfolios exceeding $100M annually.
  • Proven success leading teams and executing category strategy initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen, vendor management, and contract negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP and eProcurement tools (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa).
  • Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
