Position Overview:

The Laborer - 1 is an entry-level position responsible for performing general manual labor tasks on construction sites. This role involves assisting skilled workers, preparing work areas, and ensuring job sites remain clean and organized. The Laborer - 1 is essential in supporting the overall productivity of the team and ensuring safety on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting Skilled Workers: Provide support to carpenters, welders, electricians, and other tradesmen by carrying materials and tools.

• Site Preparation: Assist with preparing work areas by cleaning, removing debris, and setting up materials for upcoming tasks.

• Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize materials at the job site, ensuring they are ready for use.

• Basic Construction Tasks: Perform simple tasks such as digging, mixing materials, and basic tool operation under supervision.

• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Job Site Cleanup: Maintain a tidy job site by clearing trash, debris, and unused materials, ensuring that the work area is safe for everyone.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: No prior experience required, but some knowledge of construction or manual labor is a plus.

• Skills:

• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks.

• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in construction or industrial environments.

• OSHA 10-Hour Certification or equivalent.

Work Environment:

This role requires working in outdoor or industrial environments, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, high noise levels, and physical labor such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Site Supervisor or Foreman and works under the guidance of skilled tradesmen.

• Salary Range: $ $21.50 per hour, based on experience.
