Title: Training Specialist

Location: Washington DC/ Alexandria, VA

Duration: 24+ Months

Job Description:

  • Technical Trainer to design, develop, and deliver IT training for the migration from Trapeze to HASTUS system
  • Supporting Bus and Rail daily operations during the 24-month Trapeze to HASTUS upgrade initiative
  • Training Methods: Includes classroom sessions, CBTs (Computer-Based Training), seminars, and video resources
  • Key Systems: HASTUS and Trapeze for scheduling, bidding, and daily operations
  • Learning HASTUS: Trainer must acquire knowledge of HASTUS to provide ongoing support
  • Materials Development: Create presentations, manuals, videos, and CBT resources
  • Program Evaluation: Assess training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback and metrics
  • Collaboration: Work with subject matter experts, Digital Modernization teams, and HR/Payroll to align training with organizational goals
  • Training Delivery: Must align with the timeline of the migration waves for Bus and Rail divisions

Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years in technical training content development and delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Transit System Knowledge: At least 2 years of experience with Trapeze and/or HASTUS systems
  • Communication Skills: The role demands excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve training-related issues effectively

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
