What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Core Accounting

• Perform daily accounting functions including A/P, A/R, cash applications, payroll posting, and journal entries.
• Prepare and update monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes for multiple operating locations.
• Assist with drafting financial statements and management reports.

Analysis & Reporting

• Pull and analyze data from the ERP system to support financial and operational initiatives.
• Assist the CFO with margin analysis, freight analysis, inventory reviews, and ad hoc reporting.

Controls, Accuracy & Process Improvement

• Help maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist in the development and documentation of accounting SOPs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting function.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure accurate financial data flow.
• Assist with external audits and respond to auditor requests.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Associate's + strong experience considered).
• 1–5 years of experience in accounting or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, nested formulas).
• Solid understanding of GL accounting and monthly close processes.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Strong communication and follow-through skills.
• A proactive, "figure it out" mindset and desire to improve processes.

Preferred

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-location companies.
• Experience with any ERP system (Infor CSI a plus, but not required).
• Interest in operational accounting (inventory, costing, freight, margin analysis).
