- Manage all aspects of the billing process, including generating invoices across multiple billing cycles.
- Record vendor bills and maintain accurate records in the accounting system.
- Prepare bank deposits and monitor accounts receivable, including follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Create and post monthly journal entries and accruals.
- Reconcile sales tax and customer deposits.
- Prepare and file monthly/quarterly sales tax returns.
- Oversee employee expenses and billable time, ensuring accuracy and proper contract details.
- Generate monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, as well as custom reports.
- Produce profitability reports by company, department, client, and employee.
- Maintain key financial and operational metrics/KPI reporting.
- Assist with collections and other accounting functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent work experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in a full-charge bookkeeping role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and business operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
