Now Hiring: Agency Complaint Specialist

As an Agency Complaint Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to investigate and resolve written regulatory complaints filed by customers, ensuring the best possible outcomes and timely responses. This role requires a keen ability to manage escalated customer issues and deliver solutions with the highest level of professionalism. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-risk environment where making an impact is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft accurate, detailed written responses to customer complaints filed with state or federal regulators, adhering to all necessary timelines.
  • Take full ownership of customer issues, proactively collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
  • Utilize negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills to address customer concerns within your authority, escalating to higher management when necessary.
  • Identify underlying causes of customer complaints and contribute to process improvements by capturing, analyzing, and reporting systemic issues.
  • Serve as the "voice of the customer," offering insights and recommendations to prevent future escalations and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues related to business processes, tools, and customer interactions.
  • Engage in team meetings and activities to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, ideally in a contact center, compliance, audit, or related field.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with executive leadership.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, with a knack for managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding analytical and listening skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and exercise discretion with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with PC software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to thrive in a high-risk, high-visibility work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in regulatory, compliance, legal, audit, or risk management, particularly in customer complaint resolution.
  • 1+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with responding to written regulatory complaints.
  • Knowledge of bank and deposit compliance regulations.
