Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, supporting both production efficiency and safety standards. Candidates with strong technical skills and leadership qualities will thrive in this position, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs when necessary
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems
- Conduct residential painting as needed for facility upkeep
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Supervise junior technicians or maintenance staff during shift operations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility regulations
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
- Provide excellent customer service internally by supporting production teams with timely repairs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge along with electrical experience and familiarity with schematics
- Skilled in welding and residential painting techniques
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance tracking
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency with Ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools for electrical troubleshooting
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members
- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
