About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Medical Assistant – Wound Care to join our dynamic and compassionate clinical team. This role is key to ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth daily operations within our wound care clinic. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping patients heal and thrive.

You will assist providers in performing wound care procedures, monitor patient progress, manage supplies, and maintain compliance and organization within the clinic. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct wound care, including dressing changes, cleaning, and assisting with procedures.
  • Prepare patients for evaluations and document wound assessments, vital signs, and progress in the EMR.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, infection prevention, and home care instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment following OSHA and infection control standards.
  • Ensure clinical equipment and supplies are stocked, sanitized, and in good working condition.
  • Support clinic operations by managing inventory, coordinating supply orders, and communicating with vendors.
  • Assist with documentation, scheduling, and clerical support to maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Participate in team meetings, quality improvement projects, and training programs.
  • Uphold HIPAA and compliance standards across all clinical and administrative tasks.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification or licensure as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and wound management fundamentals.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in wound care, dermatology, or outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical supply management.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and teamwork skills.
