About your skills:

  • You're an analytics leader who's passionate about turning raw data into meaningful insight and action. You know that great analysis doesn't just explain what happened; it helps people understand why it matters and what to do next

  • You thrive in cross-functional environments and have direct experience partnering closely with GTM Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

  • You're curious, a fast learner, and constantly thinking about how to scale your impact through automation and proactive insight. You're equal parts technical and communicative, and the intersection of analytics and storytelling excites you.

  • You have strong management and coaching skills that allow you to actively listen, ask the kind of questions, and elevate the performance of the team members you'll be managing.

About the Role:

This Senior Manager, GTM Revenue Analytics role exists to ensure Udemy Business's revenue engine is measurable, predictable, and scalable, providing leadership with clear visibility into pipeline health, retention performance, and growth opportunities across the full customer lifecycle.

This position involves designing, measuring, and tracking non-product experiences across the entire lifecycle, driving visibility, transparency, and accountability for revenue growth within the GTM Operations function. This role is ideal for an analytics leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of data, GTM strategy, and executive decision-making.

The role will report directly to the Senior Director of Udemy Business Analytics.

What you'll be doing:

Strategic and People Leadership:

  • Partner with Udemy Business leadership to proactively surface insights that inform strategic decisions and drive outcomes.

  • Lead and manage a team of 5-7 analytics/data science professionals, providing strategic direction and guidance to support Udemy's GTM Operations functions.

  • Build, hire, and develop a high-performing analytics team, mentor team members to grow their technical skills and cross-functional influence, and set clear expectations and accountability.

Analytics and Data Science Leadership:

  • Establish best practices for dataset creation, pipelining, and metric standardization to build up a trusted analytical foundation.

  • Lead the application of data science and statistical tactics such as regression, time-series modeling, and other predictive modeling to forecast key business metrics and build alerting mechanisms to spot areas of risk early.

  • Provide thought leadership and hands-on support for our team's approach to dashboarding and business intelligence (built in Tableau and Databricks).

Revenue and GTM Performance:

  • Monitor the sales pipeline from lead to conversion, tracking and analyzing relevant metrics to provide actionable insights.

  • Establish and maintain KPIs across Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, supporting the rhythm of the business through regular reporting.

  • Conduct monthly and quarterly analysis of customer retention across all segments, tracking and reporting on ARR, ACV, and customer counts by industry segment.

  • Evaluate business performance, diagnose root causes, and provide proactive data-driven insights to stakeholders in the Sales Operations, Customer Success Operations, and Marketing teams.

  • Make recommendations to improve business partners' productivity and performance, actively reviewing and identifying leading and lagging indicators.

Cross-functional Partnership and Data Storytelling:

  • Partner with GTM Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to evaluate, influence, and optimize sales and customer success processes through data, measurement, and insight.

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to a range of cross-functional stakeholders across Udemy, fostering collaboration and synergy.

  • Drive alignment on business definitions, success metrics, and technical implementations in partnership with GTM Operations.

What you'll have:

Leadership and Communication:

  • 3-5+ years of experience managing and developing analytics and/or data science teams.

  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights.

GTM and SaaS Experience:

  • 6-10+ years of experience in analytics, revenue operations, or GTM-related roles within a B2B SaaS environment.

  • Deep understanding of SaaS revenue metrics and lifecycle dynamics (pipeline, ARR, retention, expansion).

  • Hands-on experience working with Salesforce data and partnering with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and GTM Operations.

Analytics, Data Science and Technical Skills:

  • Advanced SQL expertise and experience working in modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks).

  • Solid foundation in analytics and data science methods, including experimentation, regression, time-series analysis, and forecasting.

  • Python experience for statistical analysis, modeling, automation, and analytics workflows.

  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to improve analytics efficiency, accelerate insight generation, or enhance stakeholder self-service.

Business Intelligence, Data Foundations and Execution:

  • Proven expertise with BI tools such as Tableau and a strong point of view on dashboarding best practices.

  • Familiarity with data modeling and analytics pipelines using tools like DBT, Airflow, or similar technologies.

  • Strong execution and ownership mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
