The Team & Role  Gem is looking for a senior individual contributor to own and evolve the GTM systems that power our go-to-market engine at scale.
This role sits at the intersection of Salesforce, Revenue Cloud, data architecture, and real-world GTM usability. You'll design and build the workflows that connect our tools, streamline how we sell and renew, and help teams spend less time fighting systems and more time with customers.
We're a multi-product company entering a new scale phase. The foundation exists — what's needed now is thoughtful system design, simplification, and stewardship.
This is a hands-on builder role with real ownership, not a ticket-based admin role. Ownership here spans everything from system reliability and issue resolution to designing durable workflows that scale over time. You'll partner closely with Revenue Operations leadership and have access to consulting support for specialized or heavy technical work.

This role builds the systems foundation for scale without prematurely adding layers of process or headcount. It's a high-impact senior IC role with meaningful ownership and the opportunity to shape how Gem operates as we grow — by building systems teams trust and rely on every day.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day 1. Designing usable GTM workflows (end-to-end) Design clean, scalable workflows across the full commercial lifecycle: lead → opportunity → quote → renewal → expansion → multi-year renewalOptimize for end-user usability, not just technical correctnessReduce friction for Sales and CSEnsure workflows scale as our product catalog and segments expandSupport both sales-led and self-service-adjacent motions
2. Revenue Cloud & Quoting  Own how Revenue Cloud supports our GTM motion:Configure products, pricing, discounting, and approvalsShape quoting that is fast, accurate, and maintainableExpand capabilities where they clearly add valuePartner with consultants for specialized CPQ or complex builds
3. Cross-stack systems integration Turn tools into a connected system:Salesforce, LeanData, Gong (Engage + Forecast), Pylon, Vitally, Outreach, Marketo, ZoomInfo, and moreDesign workflows that increase signal flow, and reduce tool sprawlActivate capabilities we already pay for before adding new ones
4. Data architecture & system health Own the GTM data foundation:Maintain a clean, well-documented data modelDesign fields and structures that support segmentation, reporting, forecasting, and market architectureBalance precision with usability — data that's technically perfect but unusable doesn't help
5. Intelligence → Salesforce Bring insight into the system of record:Integrate signals from Gong, Pylon, Vitally, and support systemsImprove deal inspection, forecasting quality, and renewal risk visibilityReduce reliance on manual rep updates

About You6–10+ years in Salesforce / GTM systems / Revenue Operations systems rolesStrong hands-on experience with Salesforce Flows, validation rules, and declarative automationExperience configuring Revenue Cloud or CPQ in real GTM environmentsDeep understanding of pipeline, quoting, renewals, and expansionsProven ability to design systems with end-user usability in mindStrong GTM intuition — understands how Sales, CS, Finance, and self-service motions actually workAbility to make smart tradeoffs: build vs simplify vs outsourceComfortable operating as a senior IC and primary ownerClear, confident communicator across technical and non-technical partnersSalesforce Admin or Advanced Admin certification
Nice-to-Haves (not required)Deeper Revenue Cloud / CPQ experienceExperience in multi-product or multi-segment GTM environmentsFamiliarity with AI-enabled GTM tools (e.g., Pylon, Actively AI)Basic Apex literacy (helpful, not required)
