Location Details:Remote - United States

At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days), and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you'll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

The GoCaaS (GoDaddy Content As A Service) team powers GoDaddy's generative AI platform. We enable internal teams to securely build, deploy, and scale AI capabilities across the company—driving innovation, productivity, and customer impact. Our platform supports 100+ large language models across multiple vendors (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, AWS) with 99.99% uptime, serving thousands of employees and dozens of teams.

What you'll get to do...

  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team delivering critical AI platform capabilities while mentoring engineers to deliver quality software efficiently.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (product, design, and engineering leaders) to define and execute the GoCaaS roadmap and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive platform excellence by ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal developer experience for internal AI consumers.
  • Champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, observability, and secure software development across the organization.
  • Collaborate with enterprise teams (security, data, infrastructure) to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions while fostering a culture of experimentation and technical excellence.

Your experience should include...

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in engineering management or tech lead roles.
  • Proven leadership of backend/platform teams delivering production-scale services.
  • Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed systems expertise.
  • Hands-on programming skills in Python, Go, or with CI/CD and observability experience.
  • Leadership and project management abilities, including stakeholder management and cross-functional project delivery.

You might also have...

  • AI/ML Infrastructure Experience - Working with LLMs, RAG systems, or broader AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Container Orchestration - Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Security & Privacy - Experience with secure data handling and privacy frameworks.
  • Developer Platform Background - Experience building internal tooling or developer platforms.
  • Leadership & Community Engagement - Passion for team building, mentoring engineers, and contributing to open-source initiatives.
