- Confident engaging with C-Suite decision makers
- Organized, persistent, and motivated by results
- Prospecting and closing new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and LinkedIn outreach
- Building trust and delivering value in complex, high-dollar sales cycles
- Tailoring presentations and proposals that speak directly to client needs
- Closing new logo deals with employers (50+ employees)
- Consistently building and maintaining a qualified pipeline
- Earning six figures in your first year, with top performers exceeding $200K by year two)
- Drive new business development through cold calling, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan in collaboration with leadership
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, following Apex's proven system
- Deliver compelling executive-level presentations and proposals to decision makers
- Partner with account management for seamless client onboarding and ongoing service
- Maintain accurate forecasts, disciplined pipeline management, and timely reporting
- Take initiative, stay results-focused, and contribute to a winning team culture
- 2–3+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience with consistent overperformance, ideally including six-figure+ deals
- Career stability: average 2+ years per role and no more than two roles since 2020
- Proven consultative experience selling directly to C-Suite leaders (CEO, CFO, CHRO, VP+)
- Hunter mentality—self-sourcing and closing net-new business via cold calling, referrals, networking events, and LinkedIn outreach
- Track record of navigating multi-stakeholder, consultative sales cycles and closing six-figure+ strategic deals
- Strong executive presence with polished communication and presentation skills
- Based in or willing to travel locally within the Indianapolis/North-Central Indiana area
- Proficiency with CRM systems, forecasting, and pipeline management
- 2+ years in employee benefits consulting, group benefits sales, or health insurance brokerage
- Experience in finance, business insurance, medical devices, or PEO sales
- Success selling to employers with 50+ employees in a B2B or consultative environment
- Experience managing longer, multi-stakeholder, six-figure+ deals
- Base salary starting at $75K+ with first-year OTE in six figures
- Top performers earn $200K+ by year two
