Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Warehouse Patrol Driver in Santa Fe, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment through routine patrols and presence in and around the premises. Your responsibilities include helping to deter security-related incidents, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so you will operate company or client vehicles as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities, with working conditions varying based on location needs.
- Observe and report suspicious behaviors or situations to management and/or local authorities as directed.
- Assist customers and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
- Work closely with store management and/or other personnel to address security-related concerns as needed.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
