Chief of Consulting (Victim Services & Social Impact Focus)

Overview

We are seeking a mission-driven and entrepreneurial Chief of Consulting to lead a growing consulting practice serving organizations across the victim services, crisis response, behavioral health, and social impact sectors.

This executive will oversee a national consulting division that provides program assessment, advisory, and training services to nonprofits, government agencies, and corporate partners. The ideal candidate combines deep experience within victim services or crisis intervention systems with a proven track record in selling and scaling consulting services to mission-based organizations.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the vision, strategy, and growth of a consulting practice that helps institutions strengthen their support for individuals and communities affected by trauma and crisis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a growth strategy for the consulting division, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and social impact goals.
  • Lead business development — including sales, proposal creation, pricing, and long-term client relationships — with nonprofit, public-sector, and corporate partners.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of consulting services focused on program evaluation, trauma-informed systems, crisis response, and organizational improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to refine offerings, manage budgets, and meet performance goals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of consultants, project managers, and subject-matter experts.
  • Represent the organization externally through conferences, presentations, and partner engagement.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in consulting, program strategy, or business development within victim services, crisis response, public health, or human services.
  • Proven success selling or leading consulting engagements for nonprofit or public-sector clients.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and survivor-support systems.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and drive measurable results.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
