Job Summary

Accounting Operations is responsible for managing and executing core transactional accounting processes, including payment posting, reconciliations, and operational support for accounts receivable. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and supports continuous improvement in accounting workflows and systems.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Posts and reconciles payments across various platforms, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Monitors and resolves discrepancies in payment applications, cash receipts and customer accounts.
  • Assists with month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and account analysis.
  • Maintains documentation for accounting processes and ensures compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., Collections, Billing, FP&A) to streamline operational accounting workflows.
  • Participates in system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process optimization projects.
  • Reviews financial statements for operating trends and results, researching variances to forecast and budget prior month and prior year.
  • Researches complex accounting data in order to comply with new accounting policy implementation.
  • Researches ways of streamlining and standardizing processes to support the Accounting function.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
