The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Aerospace Engineer (SEA-L)-Junior support Integrated Combat Environment. The salary range of this position is $85, $110,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an Aerospace Engineer (SEA-L)-Junior may include:

• Supports the USCG Minotaur Mission System Integration Laboratory
• Interacts with C5ISR platforms
• Works hands on with the computers, servers, processors and other system components in a lab or aircraft environment

Must-haves:

• BS Degree in Aerospace Engineering: Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Physics may qualify
• 1 year of relevant work experience
• Experience in MATLAB
• Experience in SOLIDWORKS
• Experience working with computers, servers, processors and software programs
• Willingness to work in a secure environment with limited to no access of personal electronic devices
• The ability to obtain and maintain SAP and/or SCI access as required
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with DOD or DHS aviation systems
• Willingness to work in a team environment

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in the field for a majority of their day, on site versus in an office. The physical environment also requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for part of the day.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.

The employee is required to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs. This position may also require driving government vehicles.
