Job Overview

As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in the automotive service industry by acting as a liaison between customers and service technicians. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a smooth service process for customers and maintain efficient communication within the service department.

Duties

  • Greet customers and inquire about their automotive service needs
  • Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately
  • Communicate effectively with service technicians to relay customer requests
  • Provide detailed explanations of recommended services to customers
  • Schedule service appointments and follow up with customers on service progress
  • Maintain organized records of service orders and invoices

Skills

  • Proficiency in auto estimating and service management software
  • Knowledge of various automotive services such as oil changes, tire services, shocks/struts, air brakes, alignments, etc.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and service technicians effectively
  • Ability to suspend and transmit information accurately between customers and technicians
  • Familiarity with the role of a service technician in an automotive repair setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
