La Quinta by Wyndham Vancouver, WA , located off I-5 and I-205, in Salmon Creek, is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our energetic family.

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for operating and maintaining the property's exterior and interior facilities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, general equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds promptly and follows through on guest requests in a friendly and effective manner
  • Troubleshoots and repairs basic maintenance, electrical, technical, HVAC, and plumbing needs in rooms/suites
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on all guest room/suite furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Inspects plumbing regularly
  • Takes care of the hotel's lighting needs
  • Ensures all appliances are working correctly
  • Complies with hotel safety prevention rules and techniques, including fire safety

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED; or one to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking and blueprint reading
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Basic computer skills
